To satisfy my caffeine fix for the day, I lined up at our campus’ busiest pastry shop. I got myself a 12 oz. medium roast Guatemalan, added a splash of skim milk and two packets of sugar. Out of nowhere, someone taps my should and asks, “Hey, are you getting yourself coffee because it’s raining outside?” I answer, "No”. He then continues, “If it wasn’t so dark and gloomy, would you be getting ice tea or maybe even a smoothie, instead of a hot cup of joe?” I reply, “I’m pretty sure I’d still get myself coffee, just because”. He ends the conversation, “Darn, that just proves my theory wrong. I guess, coffee is coffee regardless of the weather. Well, have yourself a great day.”
Have you ever met someone that just constantly proves your theories wrong? Do you know anyone that just constantly defies your expectation? Do they seem to challenge your beliefs and the well-formed ideas in your head? I think I might have. I find it both strange and amusing at the same time that before I can even say what’s in my mind, you spit out words that mean the complete opposite. Funny enough, yours always make more sense. Your contradictions are always unpredictable and possibly even full of surprises. It’s weird… at least I think it is. I still haven't figured out if I'm a fan of this or not. I’m not used to it. I usually prove people wrong, but what else is left when I am being proven wrong. Gosh…I’m left speechless.
I don’t want coffee anymore, I just want my theories back. Thanks =)
you can call me ES. i'm a vagabond. i like to wander, and so do my thoughts. rock, paper, scissors? i choose paper. i can express myself better through it. whether it be through words, fashion, or music, the important thing is to make a statement. be bold, be beautiful, be no one else but you.
i'm the queen of one-liners, or so i've been told// shoes always fit. numbers never lie. music is used when words fail. love is the great reversal. emotions are fickle. passion is consistent. God's love is constant. God instills passion.
