today marks the day i lost my ipod, and in that same day i found my song.
i am one of those people who have a wide appreciation for music. my playlist consists of just about all genres you can think of. it's where eric hutchinson meets the killers, who's later acquainted with brooke fraser, and later meets taylor swift, who's beside rihanna and just a scroll away from beethoven. so, why all the different genres? what's in a song anyway? it's merely words and carefully combined musical notes right? not really. i always say, music is used when words fail...in fact, that quote is (i really should say 'was') engraved on my ipod. simply said, it expresses the inexpressible.
come to think of it, how would God view music? what's in His playlist? it wouldn't comprise of only gospel and praise-worthy music i assure you. rather, it would have every voice of His children. the music of praise, love, peace, hope, and it would equally have the sounds of anger, brokenness, and confusion of our generation. He listens to everything. He hears us all... and as He listens, He waits...ever so patiently...just for you to ask Him to sing along. He likes music too ya'know, especially when it's sang with you.

you can call me ES. i'm a vagabond. i like to wander, and so do my thoughts. rock, paper, scissors? i choose paper. i can express myself better through it. whether it be through words, fashion, or music, the important thing is to make a statement. be bold, be beautiful, be no one else but you.
i'm the queen of one-liners, or so i've been told// shoes always fit. numbers never lie. music is used when words fail. love is the great reversal. emotions are fickle. passion is consistent. God's love is constant. God instills passion.
